Our Qualifications
Robert Brooks has been in the financial services industry since 1979 and private practice since 1984. He is the Principal and Managing Director of The Financial Group, a Registered Investment Adviser firm, and is also a Registered Investment Advisor Representative of the firm. Robert attended the University of Southern California (1975-1977, Political Science) and California State University, Fullerton (1977-1979, Economics).
Robert has passed the FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) examinations Series 7, Series 6, Series 65, and Series 63. In addition, Robert has the California Variable Contracts and California Life Insurance licenses.
Robert has also been an instructor for the four-week Financial Strategies for Successful Retirement® seminar on retirement planning and money management, conducted at Mt. San Antonio College (Walnut, California) and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Pomona, California), since 1997.
Robert resides in Southern California with his wife of 42 years and they have two grown children - and he enjoys sports, especially golf, and the beach.
